About the role

•Control safe startup, normal and shut operations by DCS as per established procedures and manuals •Operates and adjust unit conditions, parameters through Distribution Control System(DCS) •Handle all unit emergencies and take proper actions accordingly •Communicate with all parties for any unit upsets, start up, shutdown and emergency •Operates all unit equipment at site safely •Responsible for giving instructions to field operators •Ensure clean and safe work area •Cover the manpower shortage during the shift •Report any defects and coordinate with maintenance for rectification •Perform all other duties as assigned •Follow HSE standards & procedures

Requirements

3-Year Diploma in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering.
Minimum 12 years total work experience
Minimum 8 years experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery or Petrochemical industry
Experience in operations of oil & gas facilities
Experience controlling and monitoring operating conditions through a Distributed Control System (DCS)
Ability to handle unit emergencies and take appropriate actions
Ability to communicate effectively with all parties during upsets, startup, shutdown and emergencies
Ability to safely operate all unit equipment at site
Ability to give instructions to field operators
Ability to cover manpower shortages during the shift
Ability to report equipment defects and coordinate with maintenance for rectification
